Day 1: Egyptian Food Tasting Tour
Your culinary adventure begins when your guide picks you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza. You will dive into the bustling streets of Cairo to experience the city’s rich food culture. Your first stop will be to try ‘Koshary’, Egypt’s national dish made of lentils, rice, pasta, and topped with a spicy tomato sauce and crispy onions. Next, you will wander through local markets and taste freshly made ‘Falafel’ (Taameya) and ‘Foul Medames’ (fava beans) from popular street vendors. You will also get to try traditional Egyptian sweets like ‘Basbousa’ and ‘Kunafa’. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating stories about the history and traditions behind each dish.
