The Abundance Dahabiya is a traditional 35-meter wooden sailing vessel, wind-powered and discreetly towed by a small tugboat when needed — a far cry from the diesel-driven river ships that dominate most Nile itineraries. With space for only 10 guests, she offers four twin cabins of 12m² each, fitted with panoramic windows, a wardrobe, and a private bathroom with shower and tub, alongside one 22m² grand suite featuring a private balcony, full-length glass doors, a mini-fridge, and kettle. The air-conditioned salon and roughly 200m² shaded sun deck serve as the boat’s real social heart — this is where most of the day unfolds, over meals prepared from fresh, locally sourced ingredients and freely available WiFi.
Unlike large Nile cruisers carrying over a hundred passengers, Abundance sails the classic route between Luxor and Aswan (via Esna, Edfu, and Kom Ombo), with 4-night and 5-night itineraries available in either direction. Along the way, guests visit Karnak and Luxor Temples, the Valley of the Kings, Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples, and Philae Temple with the Aswan High Dam — but with the added advantage of mooring at quiet islands and riverbank villages that larger ships simply cannot reach.
